Make a 4×6 passport photo print

How it works

1. Take a photo facing the camera against a plain white or off-white wall, in even light with no shadows.
2. Drop it onto the box. The 2×2 inch size and 4×6 paper are preselected, with the photos packed edge to edge.
3. Move and resize the square frame so the head is centred and fills about half to two thirds of its height, then press Make 4×6 print.
4. Order a borderless 4×6 print of the JPEG at a photo kiosk, or print it borderless at home, then cut along the lines into six photos.

Frequently asked questions

What size is a US passport photo?

2 × 2 inches, with the head measuring 1 to 1 3/8 inches from the bottom of the chin to the top of the head, taken within the last six months against a white or off-white background. The template makes 600 × 600 pixel photos at 300 dpi, which is exactly 2 × 2 inches when printed.

Why edge to edge?

Six 2×2 inch photos fill a 4×6 print exactly, leaving no room for margins. Ask for a borderless print; if your printer adds white borders, switch Spacing to the 2 mm option and you will get fewer photos on the sheet.

Will a kiosk print it at the right size?

The file is exactly 1200 × 1800 pixels, the shape of a 4×6 print, so standard 4×6 printing neither crops nor stretches it. Measure one photo after printing: each side should be 2 inches.

Can I put other photo sizes on a 4×6 print?

Yes. Change Photo size to 35×45 mm for EU and UK passports or another ID size; the paper stays 4×6 and the number of photos adjusts.

Is my photo uploaded?

No. The photo is framed and tiled in your browser. The free plan allows 20 MB per file and 10 runs per day.
