Example

Example: eight drawings of a cat on a white canvas made into a LINE sticker set

An illustrator draws eight poses of a round orange cat with a black outline in a drawing app, each on a white canvas of 2000 × 2000 pixels, and exports them as cat-01.png to cat-08.png. Settings: Stickers (up to 370 × 320), Make a white background transparent, margin 10 px.

  1. Drop the eight files in the order they should be numbered. The first, the waving cat, also becomes main.png and tab.png.
  2. White touching the edge of each picture becomes transparent. The whites of the cat’s eyes are closed in by the black outline, so they stay white.
  3. Each drawing is trimmed to the cat and scaled to fill the frame inside the 10 px margin; the canvas then shrinks to the drawing, both sides rounded up to even numbers.
  4. Eight is one of LINE’s set sizes (8, 16, 24, 32 or 40), so no warning appears. Nine drawings would still be made, with a note saying so.

How it works

  1. Drop the drawings in the order they should be numbered: 8, 16, 24, 32 or 40 of them for stickers.
  2. Choose stickers or emoji. If the drawings are on white paper or a white canvas, choose to make the white background transparent.
  3. Leave the margin at 10 px, which is what LINE asks for.
  4. Press Make stickers and download the ZIP: 01.png onwards, plus main.png and tab.png made from the first drawing, ready to upload.

Frequently asked questions

What sizes does it make?
Stickers fit within 370 × 320 pixels with both sides even and a margin around the drawing; emoji are exactly 180 × 180. The main image is 240 × 240 and the tab image 96 × 74, both from the first drawing. All are transparent PNG.
How does it make a white background transparent?
It fills from the edges inward, clearing white that touches the border of the picture. White inside the drawing, such as eyes or highlights enclosed by a line, stays white. For a background that is not plain white, remove it first with Remove background.
Do I have to trim my drawings first?
No. Each drawing is trimmed to its content and then scaled to fill the sticker, so drawings made on different canvas sizes come out the same size.
Can I use this for LINE Creators Market as is?
The files follow its size and naming rules, but LINE also reviews the content: legibility, originality and rights. Check the guidelines before you apply.
Why is my sticker narrower than 370 pixels?
Only the largest size is fixed. A sticker’s canvas shrinks to the drawing: a tall cat trimmed to 900 × 1400 is scaled to 300 pixels high inside the 10 px margin and comes out 214 × 320, while a wide one fills the 370 pixels across instead. Both sides are rounded up to even numbers, as LINE asks. Emoji, the main image and the tab image are always their full size.
What if I have 10 drawings?
The ZIP is still made, numbered 01.png to 10.png, with a note that LINE sells sticker sets of 8, 16, 24, 32 or 40. Add or take out drawings to reach one of those before you submit. Up to 40 go in one run; emoji are numbered 001.png on.
Are my drawings uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser. Up to 40 drawings can be made in one go on the free plan.
